LA to SF

Another entry into the Adventure Log brought us up the coast of California to a destination we’ve longed to explore… San Francisco. Traveling up the 1, we were able to enjoy the company of elephant seals, steep cliffs, and breathtaking views. It took significantly longer than other possible routes but was well worth it. I really didn’t mind the drive at all although that might be because my wife drove most of the way. We continued along the coast through Big Sur catching the sunset and then continued on to our final destination. Our explorations of San Francisco included some obvious choices such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Alcatraz. We also explored the Sutro Baths and a handful of other bay area parks/beaches and the Ferry Building. We only spent two days in the area but we made the most of our limited time and enjoyed every minute of it. Our journey back was not very eventful as we chose the less scenic, shorter route. We did however, eat the most authentic Mexican burrito we’ve ever had in a truck stop restaurant on the side of the road (sorry, no picture).                              ...
